If you take a look at Starlog #140(1989) there is an interview with Producer John Ashley who had worked at the time with Frank Lupo on another short-lived fantasy series called Something Is Out There. He also discussed the series Werewolf and what had happened(1987-88). The show was pulling good numbers among viewers but, the Fox Network was pushing for Werewolf to become an hour-long show which was something Lupo and Ashley didn’t feel would work demographically. Given the option of that or having the series be moved to Sunday nights they chose the latter. As they expected the ratings began to slip. When offered the choice of returning to Saturday nights with an hour long format or pulling the plug they decided to call it quits. There was some talk about a TV movie to conclude the storyline but it never came to pass.
thanks Paull Ill look for that issue
