The box is based on the story by Richard Matheison who also wrote I am Legend. If you have seen any thing or read anything by him all the ending are depressing and well depressing. This movies goes so far off the deep end its not funny its sickning. I dont understand it about half way thru, but wait it is directed by the director of Donnie Darko. The begining is great the middle is from the bad years of the X-Files and the end is back to a mystyer but still bizaro world. Also Cameron Diaz cant not talk with a southern accent. However why she does and her husband and kid dont who knows.
Just and fyi go to Leominster Entertainment Cinema in two weeks for our big New Moon show.
The NEFE cancelled us. They called the wrong number about the shows confirmation. They wont open the con to us past the press room.
Why because they dont want us talking to 40 years old virgin Klingons who live in moms basement. Wow I could have sworn that was 75% of there ticket holders and the people who buy the dvds of their celebs like Lenord Nemoy.
The new show V was an interesting and much neeed update on the 1980s classic show. This time around we have the main visitor Anna and not Dianna sending the message of love and peace but we all know they just want to destroy us behind the scence. A great cast with Elizabeth Mitchell of Lost Morena Baccarin and Alan Tudyk of Firefly Laura Vandervoot of Smallville and many others. Sadly no Robert Englund tho but who knows. The show runs for 4 weeks then takes a HUGE break till March. I hope the show can indure that long I would love to see this become as popular as Lost.
I just got done with the Boston Comic Con 09 and boy am I tired. I would like to thank Nick and Jim for inviting Radio of Horror to the con.
It was great to meet legendary artist Tim Seeley and Herb Trimpe and many others.
Up next Nefan Ex
In some very unusual news not nearly as weird as Marvel and Disney
Peter Laird and Mirage studios have sold the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Nickelodeon studios. Could they apear on an episode of Sponge Bob Square pants soon. Only time will tell
-We watched a great movie called “Dead Air”
Great movie staring Bill Molsely & David Moscow. It’s about a late night radio DJ named Logan (Mosely). Logan is kinda a jerk, but most of that is his jaded nature. He shows up to work one night and shortly after he goes on-air all hell breaks loose. We’ve got zombies on the loose, weird “28 Days Later” meets “Dawn of The Dead” hybrids. It infected people via airborne gas, and sorry folks, the time-honored “double tap” does not work here. Logan decides to stay on air, at first because of his ego, but soon it turns to fear.
Amazing movie, go check it out. It was entirely filmed in a small studio, so it really captured the tightness of the space.
-caught a great short interview with the legendary John Landis
We chatted about his upcoming projects, and the impact the impact that reality stars have on Hollywood (spoiler: it’s not nice)
-made a movie star do our dirty work
No really, Christina convinced Jay Mewes to do a coffee run. She’ll do anything for coffee.
Among many many other things that we will be talking about over the course of the next few weeks.
Highlights from Day 2:
-The Crpytkeeper sernades us with a creepy rendition of “Happy Birthday”
-We kick back with dreadcentral.com
-Doug Jones gives us a bit of his time and shows off his “Buffy” smile
-Jason Mewes continues to play matchmaker
-and it turns out, we’re not the only ones who hate “Twilight”
Highlights from Day 1:
-P.J. Soles tells us why she couldn’t sit through “Halloween 2”
-Jason Mewes plays matchmaker
-Malcolm McDowell hates the way Dr. Chris takes photos
-Kane Hodder threatens to choke us out

2 years ago I started Dr.Chris Radio of Horror. In January Radio of Horror may or maynot still be in the same time slot or it maye or may not be on the air. I hope for both. I thank everyone who has helped my show come along like it has. This journey has been fun and exciteing. Up next for Radio of Horror ROCK AND SHOCK 09
They have Halloween ale at the local liquer stores lololol I cant wait to get some and share with my fellow horror nuts. My co-host and I will be drinkig some with a the clebs who came on my show shopw this past years at Rock and Shock.
I just got the confirmation that both DH and IDw will be sending a box of comics to me for Rock and Shock. DH will be giving me a box of Abe Sapien comics for Doug Jones appearence at the con and IDW will give me a box of Terminator Salvation comics for Brian Steele.
Zombie land is one of those movies that comes along and helps give cpr to the dead get it lololololololo. No but seriously, the Zombie genre has hit this all time low and it was so high in 2003 with Danny Boyle 28 days later. The big highlight in the horror comedy genre was of cource, Shawn of the Dead. This had that dry britsh wit we all no and love. This movie was great it was so funny at times and so serious at times too. The cats was truly awsome. Woody Harelson and Jesse Eisenberg work together and have some great checmistry. This is one movie you definetly have to check out and see.
I just finally rented Clive Barker’s Book of Blood. I did not want to watch it on syfy (Damn them for changing the name), cuz it would be dumed down and stupid. All major book stores cary the collected version of this tale of short stories. Midnight Meat Train did not get nearly as good of a reception as this film did so check it out.
On another note please come to Leominster Movie theater to see Zombieland we will have lots of cool prizes to give away. Check out there website for the upcoming times in our link section.
Hey there Horror Fans!
Christina here, with your update. Quick shout out to David Chen (host of Slashfilmcast the official podcast of Slashfilm.com) who sat behind us and Nic Baisley (aka The Film Snob who runs the lovely Filmsnobbery.com) who sat next to us. Also massive thanks to the folks over at DreadCentral.com for putting together this little shin-dig.
Last night Dr. Chris and I attended the midnight (well 1am, it took them awhile) screening of Paranormal Activity in Brookline at the Coolidge Corner Theater. And let me tell you, it was freaking scary.
Quick background info: It follows the lives of Katie and Micah who are being haunted. They film the experience non stop, leaving the camera stationary in the bedroom, recording them as they sleep. The movie builds you up from there, and shows the progression of the haunting. (Spoiler Alert: It gets scarier as it goes).
This movie rocked. You felt helpless as it went along, and you felt the same fear that Katie and Micah feel. There are lots of “OMG” moments, and the ending will terrify you. The lights came up and lots of people were visibly shaking, myself included. It’s been a long time since a movie has shaken people up (The Blair Witch Project comes to mind) and if you didn’t go home and turn on all your lights (even if just for a moment) then Paranormal Activity didn’t do it’s job.
This movie is only getting a limited release, unless more people demand it. Go to Paranormalactivity.com and get this in your theater. (WARNING: Spoilers are in the “About” section of the site) It will blow your mind.
Tune into Radio of Horror this Sunday September 27th at midnight and get our full review.
