Ok first let me say this one is my least liked of the 5 so far. To be honest I didn’t care for the way this one was handled at all. I have had hi hopes that you guys would have things together at this point where the podcast would be mostly flawless, but I feel this was a big step backwards. IDK if you are just winging it but Chris, it sounds like you did not practice your portion of the plot synapses. I know you are a busy guy and have other commitments but I think this podcast needs a little bit more prepwork before recording. Sarina seemed to read through her portion as if she had gone through it a few times, she seemed more prepared at this point. Now in my past I have had a career of digging into the quality of how people do their jobs so I pay attention to detail. SO here we have a podcast about a hackslach comic, one issue I have noticed is you tend to talk about so many other things that are not related to the comic. If someone started listening to the cast beyond the 15 minute mark they would likely not have an idea about what the podcast’s subject matter is. You go off on too many tangents, too many background toys, cartoons and characters that have nothing to do with the story are discussed in detail. I LOVE Voltron, but it has nothing to do with the comic, He-Man and the Thunder Cats were the shit, also nothing to do with the comic. Dude you just kept bringing up the background details way too often. You focus on the ads way too much as well, like maybe hit one or two but you spoke about the ads for what seemed like ten minutes. I had to re-listen to this one to know it wasn’t just one issue, you spoke so much about the unimportant details that the real meat of this podcast gets lost int he shuffle. You need to focus more on the stories and the substance but yet find time for the adolescent jokes and what not. OH yeah Chris you get way to excited about boobs LOL and you name drop a little too often. Sarina seems to put things back on track for the story and then you go and start talking about the background and toys and what not. You then go on to talk about other comics and cartoon that have NOTHING to do with the subject. I’ve noticed a few times you guy start to get into a serious subject which would be kinda cool since it can relate to people’s lives and maybe bring a little levity to a hard time for them. In this episode Sarina talked about Vlad and how he started playing with toys like he had never experienced them before, that would have been a great opportunity to spend a couple quick minutes discussing how you can relate that to a real life scenario. If it were my podcast I’d get together a time or two between recordings go over the subject matter and have an outline about what the podcast will cover. Sarina seems uninformed on a few things, which would be smoothed out in there were a couple outline sessions. I feel that people who are/were truly into Hackslach won’t care much about GI Joe, Transformers, Thunder Cats, Heman, so skip it. Out of 53 minutes for this podcast I’d be willing to bet you have less than 22 minutes of actual Hackslash material. It get to the point where I started to check out and lost interest during the last 20 minutes where you barely spoke at all about the comic. I’m hopeful you’ll stick more to the source material in the Child’s Play variants. I want you guys to be successful, I would love to sit back close my eyes and get a sense of what this comic is about but this time you guys totally lost me. In review, too many ads, too many toys, too many mentions of other comic and cartoons too many tangents and not enough substance Hackslash related. I really want you guys to be successful, I like listening to you, it just needs refined and better planned.

Who ever Mr.Pineapple is maybe needs to listen to From Crisis to Crisis a Superman Podcast or any episode of The over looked Dark Knight and any comic on the fire and water podcast network. ALL THESE COMIC BOOK PODCASTS DO THIS. They talk about in great detail the other stuff in the issue.

I was inspired by Bailey and his LOOOOONG running Superman Podcast From Crisis to Crisis to do this podcast. I took a lot of his format for this podcast with the exception of we are not discussing World Events cuz Cassie and Vlad don’t work at a News Paper like Clark Kent does.

There was a lot of background to cover in this issue. As we don’t have access to Tim every five min to come up with background details on the comic. We pull it from the references the comics makes. The next episode will be Trailers and 30 mins shorter as that is 6 six page short stories. Also see the reply to the other person who posted in response to why we do it the way we do.
